Creating Google Cloud Messaging for Android

Creating Google Cloud Messaging for Android is required for users that would like to send push notifications for new posts.

1. Open the Google APIs Console page.

2. Click the “Add Project” button, a Popup with “Create a project” will display, give it a name and click the “Create Project” button.

3. On the top left you should see the project name chosen in the drop down menu, click the “Settings” button just beneath it.

3. API Key & Sender ID

Copy the “Web API KEY” to the “Google Cloud API Key” field on the Wiziapp plugin “Settings” (Android section).

Move from the “General” tab to the “Cloud Messaging” tab & copy the SENDER ID (12 digits) to the “Google Cloud Project Number” field on the Wiziapp plugin “Settings” (Android section).

In the Wiziapp plugin – “Settings” – click the create APK to create the new APK with the updated push settings, download it to your workstation, you can test it on your Android mobile device and upload to the Play Store later on.
